Who we are and what we do

Wonderband is a music project and a group of people brought together by the idea of exploring and experiencing music as an actual Wonder - something as eternal as creation itself, and yet always new. We mix and blend live voices and instruments with electronic beats and sounds. There are no genres to define the music that comes to us, so we call it elfusion, as in electronic live fusion.

Wonderband started on the 1^st of April 2010 when a singer, a DJ and a sax player met in one one of Moscow's most remarkable clubs - Shanti. Nine days later we were playing our first gig joined by an exceptional percussionist.

Since then we keep meeting funky musicians and playing beautiful instruments from all corners of the world - from hang drums, shakuhachis, and didgeridoos to trumpets, duduks, and mouth harps... all nicely blended with techno, minimal, and deep house tracks.

We are based in London, but keep moving with the music taking it to Moscow, Kiev, Berlin, Amsterdam, Goa... performing at clubs, events and festivals.

A new album is cooking in the studio alongside a separate joint project with Shanti - a series of World Lullaby compilations we started with a CD in December 2010.
